Uplifting Remarks about FLC 2025
What a great FLC! Thank you to everyone who came, you girls made it awesome! We had some excellent education; we mastered the science of play, and then we played! Edmonton Kinettes, you planned a great event, thank you so much! Our sergeants-at-arms from the Strathcona Kin Club, you did an amazing job! Our team worked hard to plan a great meeting!! Thank you, everyone!

The FLC is one of the annual conferences Kin can attend throughout the year, and we spend the weekend not only learning from incredible guest speakers and fellow Kin, but also on personal development, fellowship, networking strategies, and more.

This particular FLC focused on Learning through Play with guest speaker Rena Rechar and the incredible Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program in partnership with the Edmonton Public Library. Through Sergeant at Arms (gag fines), a Dolly Parton-themed scavenger hunt where we divided into groups, a generous number of raffle items, and off-the-floor motions, approximately $2000 was estimated to be raised this weekend due to the generosity of Kinettes from across District 4 for the Imagination Library Program!

Club members from Beaumont also had a wonderful time getting to know a few amazing ladies from the soon-to-be Chartered Kin Club of Strathcona County, which serves the Sherwood Park and surrounding area, just a short drive away from Beaumont.
​
Conferences like FLC are such an invigorating experience for Kinette community volunteers. Being a member of Kin Canada is more than just showing up to a monthly meeting and organizing events. It is a chance to explore your passions while simultaneously making a difference in your community and making friendships from all over!
